Great series for grades 2-3
Oh my word! Wordless perfection!
Finished...
Loved this middle grade historical fiction novel. Review to come.
A good read for teacher writers.
At ALA I read a bunch of picture books! I don't have time to include them now, but will next week.
What are YOU reading friends?
The Only Child is going to be coming through my Jr. Library Guild order and I can't wait to get my hands on it. The Lola Levine series looks interesting. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI saw The Only Child at the bookstore and it is so much larger than I was expecting! I didn't have time to look through it then but I'm eagerly waiting for my library's copy to arrive!
ReplyDeleteI love using wordless picture books with kids, it's so exciting to see the different ways that they interpret the images and the different stories they create. I'm so glad we have such a range of glorious wordless picture books to use!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know Tom Romano had a new book out. I need to write more for myself. I'll have to check it out - maybe it will inspire me!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear more about those ALA picture books!!
ReplyDeleteBeth showed Night on Fire too, I'm intrigued!
I'm reading the second Lola Levine right now, I really like this series, we need transitional chapter books!
I have to get Tom Romano's book! Night on Fire looks perfect for our sixth grade library, too. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteOne of our goals is to read more beginning chapter books - Lola Levine is one we will have to check out.
ReplyDeleteThanks
I need to get to Tom Romano's book ASAP. I meant to over Christmas break but I was too busy buying a new house and trying to get our current house ready for sale.
ReplyDeleteEverywhere I turn I keep reading fabulous stuff about the only child. I really need to get a copy for our school.
ReplyDeleteWe still don't have The Only Child in our libraries. :( I received a copy of Night on Fire for review and am looking forward to reading it.
