Picture Books
The Sweetest book for young readers.

Gorgeous!

Jeff Mack writes an adorable story using only two words!

Middle Grade
I Really loved this story of being true to oneself and finding where you belong. Grades 4-8

Upper Middle Grade/YA

Finished Reading
This is an excellent historical fiction novel set during the American Revolution. It is a bit too graphic for my 4th graders but would be good for grades 5-8.

Finished Listening
Art, mystery, friendship, family conflict and a bit of historical fiction. Great read for grades 5-8.

Currently Reading
Great so far!

After today's post, I will be taking a bit of a blogcation for a couple of weeks. See you soon and happy reading!

  1. I've been hearing lots of great things about My Pen - it was mentioned a lot during last night's #titletalk Twitter Chat as a good book for opening the year. <a href="http://www.allensteachingfiles.com”>Mrs. Allen’s Teaching Files</a>

  6. Have a wonderful time "off" Gigi. I will too in a few weeks, headed for the beach. I have The Way To Stay In Destiny and The War That Saved My Life, both must reads! I think My Pen is gorgeous, just as you wrote! And loved the creativity of Look! Both worth having in the classroom.

  7. I definitely need to read The War That Saved My Life soon. The author is from my area and I've read a pitiable few of her novels! I haven't heard of Something Extraordinary before. I really like the art style though! Must try to find that one.
