Stack-It-Up Sunday February 7, 2016

I have not posted a Stack-It-Up post in a long time. I originally posted about my piles on this celebration post.  Along with showing everyone how messy my house is, I like to share because each pile has its own story.

In my reading nook. I am reading Mystery of Missing Fox right now.

On the kitchen counter sits my copy of Close Writing where I unpacked it from my bag.

Random pile in the dining room.

On TJ's bedroom floor.

On my night stand.

Everyone leaves books on the stairs right?

Don't even ask about this pile in Molly's room.

Stack-It-Up Sunday-February 1, 2015

On infrequent Sundays I like to share some of the random piles of books around my house. I originally posted about my piles on this celebration post.  Along with showing everyone how messy my house is, I like to share because each pile has its own story.

The Jack at the Helm books are waiting for me to
read and review them next to Stella by Starlight, which was amazing!

Adorable Dory Fantasmagory is on a side table.

In my reading nook sits Kate Messner's Real Revision.

One of TJ's faves in the sun room.

Molly's Doctor Who book and TJ's Tyrannosaurus Reg on the couch.

These stacks are coming to school with me tomorrow. I truly hope A River of Words gets some sort of shiny sticker tomorrow!

 Here are more.

On Sundays I like to share some of the random piles of books around my house. I originally posted about my piles on this celebration post.  Along with showing everyone how messy my house is, I like to share because each pile has its own story.

Here are this week's stacks.
I got these books from my public library on my Friday visit. Sophie's Squash is for my partner teacher as she begins a long demo of decomposition by observing a pumpkin. Great mentor text for that!

This is the stack of books I brought in to me supervision meeting this week. Hoping to read or reread all of them this school year.

TJ's current stack. He has moved some of his faves to the car.

Beside my chair in my reading nook are a mixture of books to read and/or review.
Molly is in two plays this fall/winter. Her scripts sit on the kitchen counter, where else?

On Sundays I like to share some of the random piles of books around my house. I originally posted about my piles on this celebration post.  Along with showing everyone how messy my house is, I like to share because each pile has its own story.

Here are this week's stacks.
Harold and the Purple Crayon sits on the side table and Tyrannosaurus Reg is beside the ghost.

These are my latest acquisitions. I needed two more copies of One for the Murphys for book groups and my class wanted the second Explorer book.

I got Migrant from my library and Stuck in the Middle of Middle School was a gift I brought Molly back from my writing weekend. They sit on the kitchen counter.

This is my most recent library stack resting on the ottoman. Visit tomorrow to see all the wonderful picture books in here.

Random books sit on another side table. Molly thought she might like this
kind of graphic novel, but she did not.

Lastly, this well-loved copy of over in the meadow sits on the playroom floor.
TJ brought it in the car as we ran errands yesterday.

My daughter got this MSBA contender from the library.

I could not resist purchasing these two Heineman titles at the Maine Literacy Council's Book Bonanza last week. Linda Reif's Read, Write Teach and Thomas Newkirk's Minds Made From Stories.

Stack-It-Up Sunday, September 28, 2014

On Sundays I like to share some of the random piles of books around my house. I originally posted about my piles on this celebration post. I'm sure you have stacks of books piled around and as I like to say...
Each pile has its own story.

Here is the "return to library" pile. Sadly I did not read all of them.

I picked these up at the library this week! Plan to read them today!

TJ has been reading these three favorites over and over again all week.

Molly finished This Journal Belongs to Ratchet this week and LOVED it!

Here is my bedside table stack. The two on the bottom are Brown Girl Dreaming (LOVING IT!) and Mystery of the Eagle's Nest. Does anyone else remove the jackets while they are reading? They bug me a little.

Then there is my car.
Thanks to my super-awesome nerdy friend Susan Dee I have new-to-us graphic novels to bring to school tomorrow! I got these from her last week when we met up for a wonderful dinner and they are still in my trunk.

In my front seat. I literally ran into my public library before it closed yesterday afternoon to grab Stuck by Oliver Jeffers. I get to read it to a first grade class tomorrow.

Stack-It-Up Sunday, September 7, 2014

I love for Sundays to be lazy days focused on home and family so I don't normally do a big post. However, I like to share some of the random piles of books around my house. I originally posted about my piles on this celebration post. I'm sure you have stacks of books piled around and as I like to say...
Each pile has its own story.

This is my haul from the library yesterday sitting on my kitchen counter. Excited to listen to The Fault in Our Starts.

This pile is on the same counter. My daughter is reading Lizzie Bright and the Buckminster Boy in her 7th grade language arts class and This Journal Belongs to Ratchet as an independent read.

This pile sits on the floor in my "living area" still waiting for me to cover them with contact paper and return them to school.

This is TJ's most recent pile.
