It's good to be back. I took a hiatus from blogging since early May! This was not intentional. The end of the year craziness, combined with my poorly planned timing of taking the exam for National Boards, made May-June exceptionally busy. I am excited for summer and have been reading quite a bit. Here are a few I have enjoyed recently. Click on the covers to learn more about them.

I've read and loved The Memory of Things, Gigi, just starting Lily and Dunkin. It's going to be good I know. I'd like to find Crossing Niagara-what an amazing thing to do! Glad to see you back!
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to reading THe Memory of Things when it comes out in the fall. I also want to read Messner's THe Seventh WIsh.
ReplyDeleteWe read DIY literacy and loved it. It is filled with practical ideas. Thanks for telling us a out Lily and Dunkin - We hadn't heard about that one.
ReplyDeleteI loved The Seventh Wish! Hope you do, too! Have fun reading this week!
ReplyDeleteSome fantastic books on your list!! I've been seeing The Seventh Wish everywhere, unfortunately do to some controversy around its subject matter, so I'm very curious to read it for myself - Kate Messner is such a strong writer, I'm confident it will be great.
ReplyDeleteHhthe Seventh Wish is great, and there's nothing objectionable about it. In fact, the only thing I would change about it is the magical fish!
ReplyDeleteLily and dunkin is ready for me to pick up at the library. I enjoyed The Memory of Things and Upside Down Magic as well. I think The Seventh Wish has arrived at the school. I hope to read it over the summer.
