What Are You Reading??
Great Choices! I need to read Cardboard! :) Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Niki. Cardboard was actually better than I thought it would be.
DeleteSome great choices! I found I liked Bad Island better than Cardboard. But Marty Maguire always rocks :)
ReplyDeleteOoh, I am not familiar with Bad Island. Another book to check out!
DeleteThanks for the "follow" Maria. My blog has been a bit slow getting off the ground. I appreciate it.
DeleteI loved Bear Has a Story to Tell. I haven't heard of the John Boyne book but I could tell right away that Oliver Jeffers was the illustrator. I need to check that one out.
ReplyDeleteYes Beth Bear has a Story to tell is sooo sweet! The John Boyne book was my second ARC from Netgalley. It comes out next week.
DeleteI loved CARDBOARD, Interrupting Chicken, Green, and Chalk. I need to check out The Secret Tree. Thanks for the great recommendations!
ReplyDeleteYes I enjoyed Marty and Cardboard too, the others I haven't read yet.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year.
Thanks for stopping by Kathryn.
ReplyDeleteHi there Gigi, these are glorious picture books you have here. So great to see these titles, especially Interrupting Chicken. I've been meaning to get to that one, but haven't gotten around to as yet. I have a distinct feeling I'd fall in love with Bear Has a Story to Tell. I've also seen the John Boyne book around, the fact that it's illustrated by Oliver Jeffers alone makes me want to pick it up. Have a great reading week and may you have a wonderful New Year!
ReplyDeleteThanks Myra, I was not very familiar with Oliver Jeffers before. His illustrations really help to tell this pretty strange story.
