The Energy to Teach is one I enjoy dipping into here and there a few times a year. Looking forward to reading your thoughts. I have tried to read Criss Cross 2-3 times and abandoned each time due to boredom, but eventually I'm going to have to push on through if I'm going to complete my Newbery Challenge. I was so close to getting a copy of This Is the Rope but didn't quite make it. I'm sure I'll buy it because I love Jacqueline Woodson's books. That cover is beautiful! Glad I got to meet you at NCTE!
